IT Coordinator

The Information Technology Coordinator supports Grand Central Bakery systems by responding to end-user requests for assistance by phone, email, and ticketing systems. The Information Technology Coordinator troubleshoots and resolves basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues. The Information Technology Coordinator uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed. Escalates problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution. May support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords. Fulfills all service level standards for response time and quality. May require an associate degree. The Information Technology Coordinator maintains strict confidentiality at all times, has change and learning agility, and follows Grand Central Bakery's 3 Steps to Giving Great Service.

Rate of Pay: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, scheduled 4-5 days a week. Must be available to work weekends and holidays and keep open availability for scheduling. Primary schedule would be Wed-Sat but would change on occasion depending on special projects.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- 1 or more years of technical support experience, such as a help desk or IT assistant position required.
- 2 or more years’ customer service experience required; food and beverage retail experience preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and specialized database systems, or comparable software required.
- Intermediate level of computer operating systems, hardware, software, and networking experience preferred.
- Experience in an ERP or Point of Sale (POS) system preferred
- The ability to prioritize, organize and communicate effectively and professionally is required
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful or ambiguous situations required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information at all times required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, and speak English required; English/Spanish bilingual preferred
- Has and maintains a valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license with 5 years of driving experience and a driving record acceptable to Grand Central Bakery. Follows policies and procedures in the Driver Safety Manual at all times. Must pass a company administered driving test.
- Due to this position being located in a food production facility, this position is required to maintain a valid Food Handler's Card at all times.
- Provides technical support for software systems including the Square POS, Restaurant365, Global Bake, FMX, Brivo, and website editor. Work directly with technology vendor(s) to resolve problems, find solutions, and discover new functionality to benefit Grand Central Bakery teams.
- Partners with outsourced technology services company to coordinate timely response to help desk tickets including new user setup, user deactivation, and password resets.
- Provides on-site support by installing hardware, training staff, and coordinating with technology vendors. As instructed, purchases, coordinates set up, and installs technology hardware.
- Supports database updates and organization as needed for all the systems that Grand Central Bakery uses to operate. Creates and maintains data in spreadsheets, runs ‘canned’ and ad hoc reports as requested. Provides database management support, configuration, cleanup, product updates, audits and more as needed
- Tracks hardware assets utilizing various databases, maintains inventory lists, replacement schedules, and work lists.
- Creates ‘how-to guides’, instructions, and documentation for end-users. Provides training to end users using external materials and internally created tools.
- New item set-up, price updating, and template maintenance for company systems.
- Responds to basic retail customer emails, triages customer phone calls, answers questions, processes retail customer refunds, and escalates issues as needed.
- Contributes to the training of team members.
- Coaches team members on the floor.
