We are looking for a Retail & Product Operations Coordinator. We hope you will consider joining our team.
 
The Retail and Product Operations Coordinator provides high level support for systems and operations in support of the company’s mission to serve our customers delicious, authentic food made from high quality local and sustainable ingredients while growing a healthy values-driven business. Responsibilities include systems support, retail training and development of initiatives, business analytics, and coordination of communication. The Retail and Product Operations Coordinator assists in optimizing systems, streamlining operations, and improving productivity in the interest of providing exceptional customer service and growing topline sales. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, and exceptional organizational skills.

Location: 21 S Nevada St, Seattle, WA 98134
Rate of Pay: $30.29 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, scheduled 4-5 days a week. Must be available to work weekends and holidays and keep open availability for scheduling. 


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • 3 or more years administrative support experience required
  • 3 or more years of experience in project coordination required
  • Food and beverage experience preferred especially in the restaurant industry
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required; experience using Microsoft365 preferred
  • Experience using an ERP or Point of Sale (POS) system a plus
  • The ability to prioritize, organize and communicate effectively and professionally is required
  • Experience participating in communication around operational rollouts and implementing change for a multi-unit organization
  • Strong communication skills that engage people in a genuine, authentic way.
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task, and easily adapts and responds to change.
  • Experience creating learning and training tools preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required
  • Due to the position being co-located in a food production facility, this position requires a valid Food Handler's Card at all times 
  • Has and maintains a valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license with 5 years of driving experience and a driving record acceptable to Grand Central Bakery.
    • Follows policies and procedures in the Driver Safety Manual at all times.
    • Must pass a company administered driving test.
General Duties:
  • Partner with retail leadership to develop and provide training, both online and in-person, for all café systems.
  • Create and update user instructions, checklists, and other system tools for use in cafés.
  • Support the roll out of new systems and tools within retail and product. Coordinate the communication, project planning, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Provide technical support in various software systems, including the POS, Restaurant 365, and website editor, by updating information such as editing menu boards and more.
  • Maintain the master product catalog for POS and Restaurant 365.
  • Provide support for the systems that connect cafés with the Commissary Kitchen and Commissary Pastry departments by adding and changing items, auditing out-of-date items, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Maintain the inventory of signage, pantry items, and other merchandise for online ordering. Distribute items to cafés.
  • Accurately enters price increases and new products into R365 and POS systems.
  • Triage and respond to customer feedback via email and other platforms. Process customer refunds, resolve credit card disputes, and follow up on outstanding issues. Identify trends and make recommendations for changes.
  • Put together weekly retail updates memo from meeting notes and send out announcements as needed.
  • Create and maintain data in spreadsheets and workbooks for all retail cafés, support the budgeting process, and create ad hoc reports as requested. Produce product and sales analysis for retail and product teams.
  • Provide support for projects by tracking tasks, sharing status updates, and taking meeting notes.
  • Monitor MS Teams channels and respond to messages in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
